Chapters 19-24 Summary

In chapter nineteen, it is made known there was once a world where an angel and a demon imagined their kind could live without fighting.

In chapter twenty, Akiva, Hazael, and Liraz search the corpses of angels. The angels were slain by the Warlord's former soldiers. They are spotted by a patrol leader named Noam, who describes what he believed happened to the seraphim. They were killed in an ambush, and there no enemies dead nearby. This is part of the slave caravan massacre from a previous chapter. All of the slaves have escaped.
