Summary

Chapter 19 is titled “Charity Should Be a Family Business.” It opens with part of an acceptance speech Dava gave when she was named philanthropist of the year in which she states her desire that her children carry on her work. Dava wakes when Sandi and the four youngsters enter her room. Sandi explains that they want to spend a little time with Dava. Dava is disappointed that the children know virtually nothing about her foundations. She then changes tack, asking the children if they are happy. Enzo says he is 79 percent happy. He lists the things that make him happy and that being teased at school and that Sita being away from home make him unhappy. The others agree they have similar feelings.
