Summary
Chapter 9 is titled “Biggest Regret and Biggest Relief.” The chapter opens with part of Dava's letter to Chaitanya, Dava was able make choices that would have been closed if she had a baby. Dava chose not to hold Chaitanya when she was born. When they first met when Chaitanya was an adult. Dava hugged her for a long time. Kali takes the letter to Sita first. Sita is overwhelmed. Kali notes that Sita has some of Dava's mannerisms. Kali encourages Sita to talk for a minute, mainly because she wants to talk about Dava's command to break up with Mattius and Lucy. Sita knows the others consider her “Dava Junior.” Sita does not think she has a lot in common with Dava. However, she was surprised that Dava's attitude about choosing Panit as a perfect Indian boyfriend was similar to her own choices...
