Chapter Fourteen Summary

Daemon goes to Alexandra's room and demands that she remove Jaenelle from Briarwood. She tries to use the Ring but he psychically slaps her to the floor. She says she cannot get Jaenelle until the next day, as she needs Robert's authorization as well as hers, and Jaenelle is drugged right now anyway. Daemon agrees to give her until tomorrow afternoon, but promises that he will make her suffer if she does not do as she says. That night he uses his magic to bury Alexandra alive deep in the gardens. She does not have the power to get out, and is terrified. As she panics, Daemon moves her back to her bed, then tells her that this is what will happen to her if she does not get Jaenelle out of Briarwood.
