Summary

Chapter 21 is from Darkstalker's perspective. As they fly in search of Foeslayer, Clearsight wonders why she did not sense the danger coming ahead of time. They arrive at Darkstalker's house to find Whiteout keening uncontrollably. Arctic is simply angry at Whiteout's noise until Darkstalker reveals that Foeslayer is in danger from Queen Diamond. Darkstalker uses the scroll to enchant a map that shows Foeslayer is heading out of the Night Kingdom. Darkstalker realizes that Foeslayer and Arctic had a fight, and Foeslayer removed the earring Arctic enchanted for her all those years ago, which left her open to an enchantment Queen Diamond enacted years earlier. Darkstalker is trying to think of ways to save his mother. Clearsight interrupts, saying he cannot kill Queen Diamond because her niece will take the throne and wipe out the entire NightWing tribe. Whiteout makes several cryptic comments...
