Chapters 26-27 and Epilogue Summary
Dexter stares at Deborah and wonders how he knew to find her here. Dexter thinks he must have put her there. However, this theory is blown out of the water when a man steps out of the shadows. This man looks exactly like Dexter, only bigger. The man begins to speak, asking Dexter if he remembers this place. Dexter does not, but a memory is slowly beginning to make its way to the surface. The man tells Dexter how when he was four and Dexter was three, their mother crossed a drug dealer for whom she worked. The drug dealer killed their mother by chopping her into pieces with a chainsaw along with several male associates. The drug dealer then left the two little boys in the pools of blood for three days before they were finally...
