Chapter 14 Summary

Father D makes Suze and Jack clean up the bathroom and then sits with them talking about being a mediator until Jack's parents return to the suite with Paul. Suze introduces Father D as the priest and principal of her school, and her ride to see Jack. Paul asks Suze out but she says she has other plans. Father D drops her off at her house and says he'll pick her up close to midnight so they can perform the exorcism correctly in the mission, a house of the Lord.

While Suze is eating takeout with her mom and Andy, Cee Cee calls to say the story is going to run in the Sunday edition of the paper. She says the story will reach 35,000 people and that the coroner tentatively said that it is a male between the age of 20 and 25. The coroner...
