Chapter 9 Summary

Suze dresses in her ghostbusting gear and sneaks out of the house to head to the graveyard. When she gets out of the house, Maria appears. While they are talking, Maria says the same line that Paul used about catching flies with honey. Maria admits to killing Dr. Clive Clemmings and stealing the portrait of Jesse to frame Suze. Maria also reveals that Jesse tried to break off their engagement when he found out about Maria and Felix Diego, which Maria says would have shamed her and her family. Suze starts to beat up Maria by ramming her head and face over and over again into the roof tiles. Felix Diego shows up and takes over for Maria. He picks Suze up, throws her off the roof into the hot tub hole and she loses consciousness.
