Chapters 16-20 Summary

Myron meets with Bruce Taylor at The Rusty Umbrella for some background on Stan Gibbs. Taylor tells Myron that Gibbs had indeed been caught plagiarizing a novel that had been printed about 20 years ago. Bruce goes on to explain that Gibbs has remained silent on the subject, unwilling to make matters worse by discussing them. Added to his trouble is the fact that his mistress, Melina Garston, had been murdered three months earlier, after she had sworn to meeting the Sow the Seeds killer with Stan. Myron asks Bruce if he can get in touch with Gibbs, and Bruce gives Myron his address, making him promise that if anything comes of his investigation, he will tell him.
