Chapters 6-10 Summary

In Chapter Six, Myron meets with Dr. Karen Singh at Babies and Children's Hospital. Dr Singh walks Myron through the bone marrow transplant process and explains what happens when a donor is found. Singh explains that when a donor is found the local registry is responsible for collecting the bone marrow from the donor. In Jeremy's case, the national registry has notified her that the donor is no longer available. Myron wonders if the donor had backed out, but Singh suggests that the donor might be missing. As Myron readies to leave, Singh also suggest that if the birth parents were to have another child there is a 25% chance that the baby would be a match for Jeremy.
