Point of View
The point of view in the story is written in third person omniscient from that of the two main characters, Gregori and Savannah. The point of view becomes very helpful to the reader because the Carpathians in the book have strong psychic abilities that allow them to read minds and know what people are feeling. Even in relation to other Carpathians and vampires, the reader will find feelings and emotions explained along with memories and past experiences. A major plot in the story is the connection between Gregori and Savannah and the way that they learn to care for each other. Since Gregori is convinced that Savannah can't love him if she knew how he had manipulated their bond, it becomes critical for the reader to know his fears and see Savannah's reactions to those fears firsthand.
