Chapters 7-8 Summary

The Falcon enters orbit over the green moon of Endor a day early. While Chewie and 3CPO make repairs, Leia suddenly blacks out. When she comes to, she asks if their orbit has passed through the point at which the Death Star exploded five years earlier. She feels the Emperor's horror, anger, bitterness, and almost sadness, so alters their orbit to avoid the spot later.

Lady Luck, meanwhile, approaches the walled city Ilic on New Cov, a planet prospering on exports of biomolecules harvested from predatory plants. When they spot Fey'lya's assistant, Tav Breil'lya, Han tails him while Lando goes for Luke. As Breil'lya disappears into a warehouse, Han is disarmed by a short, slender woman, who is taking him in when suddenly a siren wails.
