Chapters 24-35 Summary

In Chapter 24, Ever arrives home after her birthday party and talks with her aunt for a few minutes. Then Ever finds a card from Roman offering a truce if she comes to his house before midnight.

In Chapter 25, Ever goes to Roman's house and he again promises a truce. However, Roman wants Ever to prove that the antidote is really the one thing that she wants more than anything else. As they talk, Ever realizes that their bond is not broken, just dormant. The dark flame inside Ever bursts into full light and draws her to Roman. They began to touch and Ever realizes that when Roman looks at her he sees Drina. In the last seconds Ever is able to break the spell and pull away from Roman.

In Chapter 26, Ever finds herself in Summerland after fleeing Roman. Ever stands...
