Summary

Following his visit to the nurse, Darius hears Chip Cusumano calling his name as he walks to gym class. Rather than acknowledge Chip, Darius walks faster in the opposite direction. When Chip finally catches up, he grabs Darius’ backpack and accidentally rips it, causing its contents to spill onto the floor. By the time Darius finishes cleaning everything up, he is already late. In class, Darius joins a game of volleyball and gets called a terrorist for unintentionally hitting someone in the head with a wayward ball. Though Darius initially tells himself that the insult does not upset him, he later admits that is does.
