Douglas wants to think of a way to pay Mr. Jonas back. He decides the best thing to do is to pass on something meaningful to others. Aunt Rose comes to visit Grandfather and Grandma. Grandma has a natural gift for cooking. The lodgers and family don't know what she puts in the food, but it really doesn't matter. Rose is curious and wants to know what she is eating, but Grandma is evasive. Determined to be helpful, Rose convinces Grandma to clean and organize her kitchen and, even worse, buys her a cookbook. She also buys Grandma some new glasses so she can see what she is doing with the promise she will be a much finer cook. The next meal is a disaster. A pall falls over the house.
