Chapter 18 Summary
Larkin and Blair encounter travelers, heading to safety at the word from Geall's royal family. Blair is impressed with such a demonstration of faith. Continuing their journey to evaluate the battlefield, they both can feel the evil of the place, almost oozing out of the ground. Blair tells Larkin that she has seen this place in her dreams for as long as she can remember. She does not want to die here and wonders if she has seen her own death in her dreams or if she just fears dying in such a desolate place. Almost as if in answer, the goddess Morrigan appears before them both and shares her gratitude with them, telling them that victory is possible.
