Chapter 5 Summary
Lilith's lover, Lora, is the vampire at the window tempting Blair to open the window, and she screams in frustration because Larkin enters Blair's room before Blair can invite the vampire into the house. Without an invitation, vampires cannot enter a home. Larkin finds Blair in a sort of sleepwalking trance, under some sort of spell that allows the vampire to get into her brain. Blair is alarmed; this is something new that she's never experienced. Larkin comforts her and offers to carry her downstairs where the rest are having dinner. Blair knows it is imperative that they discuss this new weapon the vampires are using. As they all discuss the occurrence, they add Glenna's dream experience and Moira's experience earlier that day to Blair's most recent encounter and realize that the vampires are not capable of that kind of magic.
