Prologue Summary
The Dance of the Gods by Nora Roberts is the second book in The Circle Trilogy that deals with the threat of a vampire war, led by Lilith the self-proclaimed Queen of the vampires against all of humanity. The book's main characters are banded together in what is known as the Circle of Six, the six individuals who have been called together by the goddess Morrigan to learn how to battle the vampire threat that will destroy all the worlds if left unresisted. The Circle of Six is comprised of a sorcerer named Hoyt from the 12th century, a modern-day witch, Glenna (Hoyt and Glenna are handfasted [engaged]) just before the story begins.
