Ella Tate
Ella is the mother of the Tate family. She is a somewhat flighty character who never really wants to accept any blame for the things that happen to the family in the play. She is always quickly changing topics and focus, switching her moods just as quickly, which makes it seem like Ella is trying to hide things. Ella has little to no respect or love for her husband, and she is trying to sell their house without his knowledge or approval.
Ellis
Ellis is the owner of the Alibi Club where Weston spends his time drinking. He is greedy and takes advantage of the Tate family through Weston’s drunkenness.
