Summary
Emma shows up then, having heard the conversation between her brother and father. She doesn’t think Weston will last long in Mexico and wants to know why Wesley is wearing his father’s clothes and eating food off of the floor, which he is. Wesley has tried everything else though, he says. He took a bath and walked naked around the house like Weston did, and he does not feel any better.
Emma tries to wake her mother, but it does not work. Wesley tells Emma about how he felt like he was turning into their father as he put on his soiled clothes earlier. Emma, it turns out, has seduced the sergeant in order to get out of jail, and is looking for money in order to start a life of crime.
