Pages 97-124 Summary

Brett Camber wakes early on the morning he and his mother are to go on their trip, too excited to sleep. Brett takes his breakfast outside. Brett walks toward the barn in the fog and hears growling. Cujo comes out of the fog. Brett speaks to him, convinced for a moment Cujo does not know him. Cujo recognizes him and backs off. Brett is concerned, convinced Cujo is ill. However, Brett does not want to tell his father because he is afraid he will call off their trip. Brett tells his mother what he saw and she agrees that they should not tell Joe, but promises they will call him from Connecticut and ask him to see to Cujo.

Vic wakes early and has breakfast with Donna before leaving to pick up Roger. Things are still strained between Donna and Vic...
