Chapters 3-4 Summary

Chapter 3. As the shuttle approaches Ballybran, the captain calls Killashandra to the cockpit so she can see the planet. The trip has been uneventful. Killashandra has asked everyone about Ballybran and the crystal singers, but the captain, Andurs, has been her most reliable source of information. Even he has tried to talk her out of becoming a crystal singer. When they land, Killashandra is met by the Guild Master, Lanzecki, who gives her a thousand credits and a shuttle ticket to anywhere as reward for escorting Carrik back. Killashandra wants to speak to Lanzecki about applying to be a crystal singer, but he quickly dismisses her and moves on. Instead, Killashandra enters the Shankill Moon Base with the other tourists and takes a room. Killashandra then contacts the Guild office and learns how to apply as a recruit.
