Pgs. 859 - 910 Summary

Near the end of the war, Enoch Root finds Goto Dengo and asks about his digging assignment. He tries to get Goto to talk about the gold and tells him that there are men who want that gold.

The gold from the sunken boat is brought to Tom Howard's house. Avi and Randy are both there to supervise; Doug Shaftoe and others are patrolling with armed weapons. Goto Dengo is there along with the Epiphyte people. Afterwards, Randy travels by pamboat to Luzon to find the Golgotha site. Amy appears and so does Enoch Root and Doug Shaftoe, among others. Randy leans that Goto Dengo and Avi, who flew, have immigration problems and had to leave the Philippines. Randy says it should be a two day hike to the Golgotha site. He tells Enoch that they are on a fact-finding mission...
