Pgs. 63-125 Summary

Lawrence Waterhouse is on the deck of the U.S.S. Nevada when the attack on Pearl Harbor begins. His ship is berthed next to the Arizona and he at first thinks that something has gone wrong with a training exercise. He is assigned to cryptography, a field in which he is extremely talented. He is soon shown how to use Indigo, a cryptology machine. Eventually his security clearance puts him on a level with Commander Schoen and he is reassigned to London.

After Charlene completed her Ph.D., she obtains a job at one of the Three Siblings Schools, and she and Randy move there. Randy works on his master's degrees in Astronomy but spends most of his time writing programs since he is known as a UNIX expert and now becomes an expert at networks. He goes to work...
