Summary

Act Two: "A Killing Wind" starts with Chapter Five: "Jesper" as he and Wylan prepare to meet Jesper's father. Both are pretending to be students, though Kaz and Matthias are hiding nearby in case of a trap. Jesper is uncertain if he wants to see his father and wonders if his life would be different if he never started gambling. He and Wylan talk about the businesses in the Barrel as Jesper struggles with guilt over his failures.

Once they reach the university courtyard, Jesper is shocked by the warm greeting from his father. Still, the meeting starts awkwardly as Jesper introduces Wylan.
