Summary
In "You'll Be Honest, You'll Be Brave," Justine arrives at Lula's. Since her tumor diagnosis, Lula has frequent seizures. Reney's childhood friend, Sheila, helps Justine care for her. Upon entering, she and Sheila hug. Justine thinks of Reney, missing her daughter. After leaving Wes, she moved. "Now she was a college student in Portland, Oregon, of all places. Finding herself" (171). They keep in touch on the phone. She was talking to Reney when her sister Dee called her about the start of Lula's seizures.
Now her sisters are nearby to help Justine with Lula too. Dee and Josie help to keep Justine positive despite their mother's condition. However, Lula can barely speak, and cannot move either.
