Summary
In Part 7, “Les Babies,” Sadie learns from Aurélie that the Moulinards are “planning to disrupt the agricultural fair” in two weeks (291). She shares this information with her contacts. Two days later, they inform her Platon will be at the fair and she should use him as a pawn. They want her to tell Pascal about Platon’s plans to attend so he will “attempt to harm” him, thus setting the trap the officials need to shut Le Moulin down (291). That night, Sadie tries to decide who to enlist in her plan, guessing Burdmoore is the best option.
Sadie continues visiting the commune and discussing protest plans with Aurélie. Meanwhile, her contacts keep her updated on Platon’s planned arrival. Sadie also keeps in touch with Vito and Lucien.
