Summary
In Chapter 4, Rachel arrives at Colin and Araminta’s wedding, overwhelmed by how stylish and famous everyone seems. Inside the First Methodist Church, chaos ensues, as most of the guests abandon the seating chart for the sake of historical family feuds. When Alistair walks in with Kitty and try to sit with the Youngs, Eleanor’s friends hope that the Youngs make a scene about Kitty sitting with them. Much to their dismay, the Youngs remain poised in public, but Eleanor’s friends know that the Youngs will try to sabotage Alistair and Kitty in private. Eleanor’s friends are also disappointed that Kitty’s behavior and inappropriate outfits are making Rachel look angelic in comparison.
