Summary

Chapter 13 picks up where Chapter 11 left off. After discovering the bloody fish and cruel message scrawled on her mirror, Rachel runs to Sophie’s bungalow for help. Sophie calms Rachel down and leaves momentarily to inspect the scene in Rachel’s bungalow. When Sophie returns, she is furious at the mean prank and knows that it must have been one or more of the girls at the party. Rachel wants to call hotel security, but Sophie tells her that it would be a much stronger, classier move to do nothing. The other girls likely want Rachel to make a scene for the sake of having more gossip material, so by calling security, Rachel would fall into their trap.
