Summary

In Chapter 10, Eddie visits his friend Leo at his new penthouse in Shanghai, Asia’s party capital. Leo points out all of the fancy features at his new place, including climate-controlled closets and a monitor that records his outfits so he never accidentally wears the same thing twice. Eddie grows increasingly jealous of Leo’s possessions. He finds it incredibly unfair that Leo Ming’s father spoils Leo and caters to all his whims, while Eddie’s parents never give him a cent. Comparing himself to Leo, Eddie thinks his life is mediocre. He thinks about his stylish and well-behaved family, all the prestigious clubs he’s a member of, and all of his mistresses.
