Chapter Ten Summary and Analysis
In his concluding chapter, Chan encourages readers to try to determine for themselves whether or not they are living their lives as God wants them to do. He suggests one way of doing this is by pretending that each person they come in contact with is actually Christ. Are they treating each person as they would if he was Christ? Chan also tells his reader that in addition to thinking about how they should best live their lives, they should also put their plan into action.
In his writing, Chan also warns his readers not to try to duplicate another person's sacrifice, but to find their own special niche that God has made for them. Chan notes a verse in I Corinthians that indicates that each Christian is gifted in a different way.
