Chapter Six Summary and Analysis
In this chapter, Chan first introduces his readers to Clara, his wife's grandmother. Chan writes that Clara is an example of a person who is deeply in love with God. He compares the way that Clara thought of her time with God as the same way that someone who is truly in love with another human being would act. In order to decide if they are truly in love with God, Chan says each Christian should ask themselves one question. Chan quotes information from John Piper's book God is the Gospel asking if a person would be happy in a heaven-like place if God were not there. If a person is truly in love with God, then he will not consider the idea of a heaven without God.
