Chapter Three Summary and Analysis
Chan begins this chapter by pointing out how few people really understand the depth and wideness of the love of God. He argues lack of understanding of God's love is because people often have bad relationships with their earthly fathers. In their mind, they equate their relationship with God to the one that they have had with their earthly father. Even the best of earthly fathers cannot love the way that God does, so this connection often leads to a misunderstanding of the true nature of God.
