Section 9: ch. 23-24 Summary

In the third part, "Quest", and the twenty-third chapter, "Pavlov's Dogs and the Rhinestone Turd", after a tedious drive, Sam and Coyote arrive in Las Vegas where Sam has been before with Aaron. Sam explains his navigation system to Coyote and reserves a hotel room at the Camelot hotel. After warning Coyote away from the naked women in this city, Sam hands his car keys to the valet, which always makes him feel that it is the last time he will see his car. As Sam withdraws money from an ATM, Coyote gets excited that Sam is winning on this machine. After checking in, Sam goes to sleep while Coyote thinks of a plan to find Calliope.
