Summary

Chapter 22 is from Feyre's perspective. Cassian returns. Elain shows Azriel her plans for expanding the garden, “using the seeds and tools my family had given her tonight” (197). Feyre has no idea whether Azriel is actually interested, but she is grateful for his kindness. Rhysand winnows them to the cabin “For some peace and quiet” (198). Rhysand comments on Feyre's appearance. He provided her with beautiful dresses and she now asks where he got them. He says his mother made them as “A trousseau for my future bride” (199). Feyre is moved by the gift. Feyre has tattoos on her hands that Rhysand once used to watch her actions. She asks him to change them now to the Night Court insignia.
