Summary
Chapter 17 is from Feyre's perspective. Feyre wakes to find Rhysand has given her gifts for her birthday, keeping his Solstice gifts for that evening when everyone is gathered. She discovers a beautiful sketchbook, exactly the kind of thing she would have chosen “for myself, had such a luxury not seemed excessive” (152). The second gift is a scarf and the third is a satchel for carrying her painting supplies. They spend the morning in bed with Rhysand posing nude while Feyre sketches. She knows she will never show the book to anyone else. They finally go down to breakfast but Azriel and Cassian grab Rhysand and rush away with him.
