Summary
Chapter 5 resumes from Feyre's perspective. Through her bond with Rhysand, she feels him nearing home. He is clearly tired. Feyre suggests they put off their visit to the Hewn City (known as the Court of Nightmares). He refuses; Feyre insists that he should, at least, eat a meal. They argue about the fact that they “fuss” over each other. Feyre had been amazed that her menstrual cycle as a faerie was horrific and confined her to bed. They had decided to wait awhile before trying for a child but Feyre remembers an image she received of the child she would one day have. She is relieved the cycle only comes twice a year and wants to be sure she provides support for Nesta and Elain. Feyre and Rhysand discuss the upcoming holiday.
