As chapter twenty-five begins, Finn isn't answering his phone, and he's obsessively addicted to the phone and afraid to leave the house. Lucas and Beauvoir also aren't answering their phones. Then, screws start falling out of Jammer's ceiling. It's Beauvoir, breaking in from outside. He confirms that Lucas was blown up in his limo. Beauvoir also found out that someone's hired the Gothicks and the Kasuals to surround Jammer's and keep them inside, probably until someone arrives. Beauvoir thinks Maas Biolabs is out to kill them.
