Summary

In Chapter 73, even though it was Eleanor’s turn to have her children for Christmas, she allowed them to stay with Cam because she knew they would want to be with Elijah.

In Chapter 74, Eleanor agreed to spend Christmas with a man named Russell she met through a personal ad. At the apartment, Russell’s sons, Arthur and Benny, opened the door for her. Eleanor could tell right away that Russell was looking for a wife and mother for his children. Eleanor knew she was not that woman.

In Chapter 75, one day when Eleanor took Toby to the waterfall to fish, he remembered the way they used to put boats in the water there. As Eleanor described the cork people, it was as if a door had opened in Toby’s mind. He commented that there were probably still cork people down there...
