Summary

In Chapter 9, one day while Eleanor was drawing by Hopewell Falls, Timmy Pouliot, who Eleanor guessed was about 12 or 13 years of age, asked about her artwork. Before Timmy left, he asked Eleanor if she had a boyfriend. She laughed and said she was too old for him, but she wished she had not when she saw the look in his eyes.

In Chapter 10, Eleanor made friends with Darla and her daughter, Kimmie. Darla told Eleanor that her husband was a jerk and she would leave him, but she had no place to go. She accepted Eleanor’s invitation to have tea with her. Darla brought beer.
