Chapter XVI-XXI Summary

Chapter XVI

Sub-chapter one, while Gunnery Sergeant Zimmerman was sitting alone in the Annex #2 having a beer, Gunnery Sergeant Esposito came and asked Zimmerman about McCoy's brother, Thomas. Thomas had been getting into fights once again and causing problems in his battalion. He had also been talking about McCoy and his living situation with Ernie. Zimmerman went to the bar that the younger McCoy was in, playing cards and drinking beer, and asked him to come outside to talk. Once outside Zimmerman roughed him, up a bit and told him that if he did not keep his nose clean and stop embarrassing his brother with his behavior the next time would be worse.

Sub-chapter two, Pick takes Stecker to the Foster Peachtress Hotel in Atlanta where they have lunch with Pick's "Aunt Ramona." Aunt Ramona turns out to be a madam...
