Summary

The other mother comes through the mirror, lifts Coraline and takes her into the kitchen. She tells Coraline that she has paid for her crime and that she won’t be punished again if she is compliant from that point forward. As the other mother makes a cheese omelet for Coraline, Coraline mentions the other children. The other mother only smiles and tells Coraline she’s being silly when Coraline suggests she plans to turn Coraline into a husk like the other children.

Coraline proposes a game where the other mother can win her fair and square. If Coraline wins, however, the other mother must let everyone — Coraline, her parents and the other children — free.
