Summary

In Chapter 12, Kennedy continued to see Shea in class. However, she never found “the right time” to ask Shea to hang out again (206). She still had no friends. The RAs had stopped talking in Millie’s room. So, she could no longer hear them. Meanwhile, she listened to Peyton and her new friend chatting in Peyton’s room.

Kennedy dismissed her jealousy to focus on applying to Agatha Paul’s “undergraduate Advanced Creative Nonfiction Workshop” (208). Nichelle helped her finalize her application on the phone. Tyler’s upset from the other room interrupted them.

Tyler was upset because the RAs had stolen her Halloween decoration idea. Her friends suggested it was “their little revenge” (211). She was going to use the theme for her sorority’s contest. The girls confronted the RAs, demanding they remove the decorations. They refused.
