Summary
In Chapter 1, Agatha Paul met an RA named Millie Cousins at the University of Arkansas’s Belgrade Dormitory. Millie led her to the Resident Lounge or Media Center while they chatted about where they were from. Amiee Pearson, Millie's supervisor, had arranged for Agatha to interview some of Millie’s residents for her upcoming book.
Agatha had been writing since she was 25 years old. Leaving Chicago to teach and research in Fayetteville, Arkansas was welcome to her. She was living “rent-free in a two-story” house that “belonged to a professor on sabbatical” (5).
Millie led her residents Casey, Jenna, and Tyler into the Rec Room. Agatha told the girls that her first books were about grief and birthdays. Her new one would focus “on money and culture and traditions” surrounding weddings (8). She asked the girls about their wedding dreams.
