Summary

The story begins by describing the first meeting between Aidan and Pauline. Aidan is sitting in the backseat of his brother Declan's car when Pauline gets into the passenger seat. Pauline asks Aidan if he is older or younger before asking about what he does for work. Aidan tells her he works in a hotel. When Aidan asks Pauline what she does, she says she is a screenwriter.
