Chapters 31-35 Summary

In Chapter 31, the health inspector comes and clears Anna's of all health violations. Katrina and her friends continue with the emporium plans. The night before the festival, Katrina hosts a dinner for all her friends and is happy for what they have accomplished. The only thing missing is Vincent. Katrina makes an effort to make amends to Vincent, but he ignores her call.

In Chapter 32, the morning of the festival dawns cold. At first there is no business, but soon the emporium is overrun with customers. Mr. Darling becomes annoyed at their lines that are blocking his business, but Katrina feels it is only fair since his lines did the same to Anna's the year before. Later that evening, Malcolm comes to pick Katrina up for the festival.

In Chapter 33, Malcolm and Katrina attend the Sons of Norway dinner. Heidi is...
