Chapters 21-25 Summary

In Chapter 21, Katrina calls Irmgaard and tells her what has happened, then calls Vincent. Vincent offers to come to the hospital, but Katrina asks him not to. Malcolm stays with Katrina and brings her food. Katrina then asks Malcolm to take her to the Winter Solstice Festival. Finally, Katrina is able to see her grandmother. When Anna learns that Katrina has a date to the festival, she tells her to take a little of their money to buy a new dress. Anna then sends Katrina home with the promise that she will go to school and do everything she is supposed to do. Then Anna tells Katrina to inform Mr. Darling that they are now willing to take his offer.

In Chapter 22, Irmgaard arrives and helps Katrina fill out the insurance paperwork. Katrina tells Irmgaard she knows about the message Malcolm...
