Act 2, Scene 4 Summary

Martin and Edward come into the park, keeping an eye on Cathy while she's playing. Edward gives Martin instructions on how to take care of Tommy and tells him not to be angry when he wets the bed. Martin admits that he doesn't like saying Tommy is his son.

Betty comes, talking about how she enjoys the sunshine after being at work all week. She lets Cathy play with some of the money she's earned, saying that she feels like a child herself having so much money, since Clive took care of the finances when they were married. As Cathy counts the money, Betty tells Martin not to worry; Victoria will come back to him. She also comments on the current living arrangements, and so does Cathy, who tells us that Edward, Victoria and Lin all sleep together in the same...
