Act 2, Scene 2 Summary
Edward works on the gardens in the park, as his boyfriend Gerry lounges nearby. They bicker about how Gerry had gone out the night before and hadn't called to let Edward know where he was. Tired of the argument, Gerry says he's going to the pub, and then turns to us and tells a story of how he had had anonymous sex with a man on a train but left quickly when the man wanted to meet for a meal. Gerry leaves; Cathy sings a rude skipping song, and then Betty, Victoria and Martin (Victoria's husband) appear.
As Martin keeps a close eye on Tommy, who's playing near a duck pond, Betty confesses to Victoria how confused she is since leaving Clive. Victoria tries to reassure her, but Betty seems to not want to hear what she has to say. Leaving...
