Summary

In Twenty-Two, "What You Already Have Is Better Than What You So Desperately Seek," Aethon is plagued by remorse. He wishes he never left home. He realizes what he truly wants. The goddess opens her palm and reveals "a single white rose" (558).

In "Idaho State Correctional Institution: 2021 - 2030," Seymour spends most of his time at the facility "inside the computer lab" (561). He teaches himself many things. Then, "when he's twenty-two," Seymour's supervisor gives him a work assignment with a company called Ilium (562). Because of his good behavior and his technological aptitude, they want him to work "for a pilot program" (562).
